The key objective of the role is to lead and manage the Continuing Airworthiness Management Organization including maintenance planning, technical records and of the company's outsourced engineering functions such as reliability and job card engineering. The Senior Engineering Manager will report to the Head of Technical Services.
- Ensure the managemetn, oversight and control of Wizz Air's Continued Airworthiness Maintenance Organization on compliance with EASA requirements and Wizz Air's procedures and laid down in CAME and other manuals
- Ensure processes and policies covering all related aspects of the department are created and implemented
- Manage AD, SB and Part-21 modification assessment and approval process
- Provide immediate assistance, advice and technical support to the Head of Technical Services
- Provide support and advice to the technical teams during the planning and preparation fo major checks
- Provide technical expertise for the fleet development in regards to lease contracts and associated negotiations
- Ensure all preparations for phase in aircraft are complete, the aircraft are compliant and managed accordingly
- Ensure all preparations for the end of lease phase are complete, the aircraft are compliant and taht financial exposure is minimized and managed accordingly
- Ensure all matters relating to budget management, ordering and invoice checking are managed with clear guidelines and instructions
- Ensure supplier management and oversight is correctly provisioned and managed
- Ensure appropriate development of direct reporting staff members and oversight of their required qualification and competence
- Ensure strong management principles are laid down, understood and delivered
- College or university degree (Technical University or Technical Institute)
- Fluent English knowledge (both oral and written)
- minimum 7 years' relevant work experience, thereof 2 years in an appropriate aviation industry position
- at least 3 years of management experience
- A320 Gen Fam Training (level II) or on similar A/C type
- Fuel Tank Safety And CDCCL treining level 2
- EWIS training
- Thorough knowledge of applicable regulations, EASA Part M, P145 and EASO-OPS
- Thorough knowledge of CAME, CAMO internal procedures, JMPs and relevant parts of operations requirements and procedures; OAC holder's Operations Specifications; the relevant parts of the AOC holder's Operations Manual
- Analythical thinking, ability to work under pressure
