Over the past 20 years Citco has invested heavily in growing the Private Equity & Real Estate (PERE) line of business. Due to continued growth, we seek an Accountant Manager to join the team to develop our business.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on, Private Equity and / or Real Estate specific accounting expertise and have demonstrated capabilities in managing staff. Your role will encompass all facets of the calculation of net asset values on a variety of complex Private Equity and Real Estate funds. Supervising the senior fund and fund accountants, your responsibilities will include:
- Performing the administration of and any services pursuant to administration agreements in respect of a portfolio of funds which hold a diverse portfolio of investments
- Reviewing / calculating Net Asset Values
- Reviewing / preparing financial statements and associated reports
- Reviewing payments and other transactions
- Supervising staff in an “Account”, reviewing and signing off on work performed by staff in the Account
- Liaising with clients and other fund participants
- Meeting expectations of fund participants, adhering to deadlines
- Provide technical accounting/industry knowledge to clients
- Maintaining relationships with investors, investment advisors/managers, banks, brokers and auditors and other fund participants
- Implementation of fund structures on accounting system
- Coach, develop, train staff
- Ad hoc reports as needed
- Review trading and operations processes
- Assisting auditors and other fund participants and advisers
- Knowledge of waterfall structures, modelling and calculations is diserable
- Familiarity with Yardi / Investran is a distinct advantage
- Knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP and other comprehensive basis of accounting
- Strong leadership skills and supervisory experience of other professionals
- Project management skills with attention to detail and proven ability to multi-task
- Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
- Professional Accounting qualification a plus
