US GAAP Compliance Director (EMEA)

Requirements:
- Strong working knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS
- About 5 years of Big Four firm audit experience
- About 8 years of overall accounting experience
- Inventory and cost accounting experience will be an asset
- Consumer markets audit or accounting experience will be an asset
- Bachelors or equivalent in accounting
- CPA or CA certificate or equivalent
Responsibilities:
- Responsibility for the Corporate US GAAP compliance program in the EMEA region
- Identifying accounting issues in the region and providing solutions
- Monitoring US GAAP compliance at the country and regional level
- Providing training on US GAAP and IFRS to region and country financial management
- Assisting in IFRS implementations
- Providing accounting guidance for one-off transactions in the region
- Conducting site visits at each of the countries in the region
- Performing detailed review of country statutory reporting and audit findings
- Assisting in drafting and implementing Corporate accounting policies
- Assisting in the standardization of accounting procedures/practices across the Company
- Providing accounting consultation services for the region
