About this opportunity
Exciting functional Leader position in the Application Maintenance division in a Global bank, managing daily operations for the Payments and Cash area in Business Banking.
As Technology Service Leader for Business Banking in Application Maintenance you will be expected to handle a portfolio of application’s and working very closely together with the Technology Execution Team for support of your applications in scope. This will be done in the alignment with the Business Area Technology Leader and Lead TSL for Payments and Cash Management area who set the strategy and roadmaps.
You will be working with innovative technologies and concepts across the bank, enabling a future core competitive environment. The bank is well on its digitalization journey, and the leader we are looking for will help push towards a DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) approach.
You will, as part of this role, be expected to travel to Poland at least once a quarter for a few days.
What you’ll be doing:
- You lead the E-Bridge service in the Payments and Cash area for Business Banking, and will be driving Operational excellence and contributing to strong business result
- You will Manage the interface to business technologystakeholders and processes including communication to foster alignment between business technology and Core technology.
- Establish technology delivery plans with clear priorities and an overall execution structure, aligned with funding and capability resource plans.
- Champion technology strategies and create awareness of technology trends and opportunities.
- As a member of the Management team you will understand the underlying business drivers, and manage boundaries between your function and relevant part of the organisation.
- Secure execution according to agreed budgets, KPIs and service level agreements.
- Planning and optimisation of technology total cost of ownership for own business portfolio.
- You will be working closely with the business – execution and development teams for your area, ensuring full alignment across the delivery chain.

Your preferred background:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a leader
- An IT technical background enabling the candidate to understand the technical context of the area
- A degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or similar
- Strong people, coaching and communication skills
- Strong skills within transformation and project/programme management creating proven changes in complex financial environments
- Customer centric mindsetactively seeking value-creation opportunities through technology
- Experience with Application Management, DevOps and/or Site Reliability Engineering
- ITIL foundation and knowledge of processes preferably from working within financial services institutions
- A by nature creative and innovative person with strong problem solving skills
- Curiosity and interest on understanding and fulfilling business requirements
