Responsibilities:
The Technical Manager is responsible for developing and assuring end-to-end technical solutions which meet the business needs for contract delivery. The Technical Manager is accountable for the full integrity of the technical solution from requirements to customer's acceptance. The role will manage a team of technical engineers allocated to the project coming from different parts of the organization.
This role has many responsibilities with a high a degree of exposure to different levels up to management level in the company as well as to the customers. This position offers significant career growth and training for the right individual.
- Overall technical responsibility for the project by leading technical activities in line with the scope and plan agreed with the Project Manager
- Plan, organize, direct, optimize and control the end to end technical delivery activities through the life cycle
- Chair Engineering gate review
- Accountable for the active management, mitigation and reporting of technical risks
- Ensure all regulatory and compliance measures are met
- Ensure technical delivery meets both customer and our requirements
- Primary point of contact for global delivery, global service and customer management
- Drives and estimates, product and technical work-breakdown; define engineering work plan
- Work with the other parts of global Chief Engineering ( Security, Concept of Operations, System Engineering, System Integration and Test ) to drive the end to end technical cycle
- Monitor technical progress and validate the evolution to the next stage
- Review and approve the system test results until demonstration of the compliance of the solution with the requirements
- Act as the primary point of contact with the customer for engineering issues
- B.Sc. in Engineering (preferable Electronics, Aeronautics) from a known university
- Master in System Engineering desirable
- Project Management and CMMI experience desirable
- Significant experience in leading technical delivery for a complex integrated system, underpinned by rounded general management experience
- More than 8 years of System Engineering experience (requirement management, system design, integration and testing and integration in a system of system environment)
- Strong technical experience including knowledge in C&C software development, IT and Network system for Big Data center sensors, video system
- Team Management and matrix organization experience with capability of motivating a diverse team in a dynamic global environment and possess the necessary capabilities and authority that will quickly earn the respect of peers
- Experience in safety, security, traffic/transportation, water or electricity domain desirable
- Experience working closely and collaboratively with account teams
- Excellent leadership skills and a role model within the business
- Strong presentation skills and strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in making technical presentations
- Ability to travel
