Job Description:

  • You will report to the Area Manager Credit Control and work in our Head Office in Amsterdam
  • As a team leader Credit Control for our Eastern European Credit Control team you are responsible of managing a team of currently 6 FTE's. This includes all managerial responsibilities like HR related activities, appraisals, people development, maintaining or improving results, and recruitment.
  • As a true people manager the candidate will also be responsible for streamlining existing and implementing smarter processes within the Credit Control department together his/her own team, his/her peers and with the Area Manager Credit Control N-EMEA.
  • In cooperation with the other team leaders you are also responsible for the daily activities within the Credit Control Department.
  • Key factors of success in this role are a very sharp understanding of the business priorities, strong transversal communication skills, proven affinity with emerging markets and Eastern European markets and, above all, the capacity to drive projects and reach the pre-set objectives.


Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage work processes;
  • Schedule and distribute tasks and projects within the team;
  • Drive progress within the organization through simple and targeted action plans;
  • Be a clear leader to the team; Inspire your team and share successes and ideas with the other Team Leaders and Area Manager Analyze data and identify trends;
  • Create Best Practice and share with Peers;
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with business partners in all regions of North EMEA, this includes frequent travelling to the respective booking offices within the territory;
  • Build a broad understanding of the business of Credit Control in all areas of North EMEA
  • Create and encourage an out of the box mind set to improve customer payment behaviour and customer satisfaction;
  • Owner of Key Performance Indicators like DSO, % received cash, within 30 days, 60 days and 90 days;
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and applicable governmental regulations;
  • Liaise with peers and the Change The Business Manager across the company to create successful roll outs.

Wymagania

Required Experience/ Required Skills

  • 3-5 years experience in Credit Collections or Finance and with 1-2 years of management experience;
  • Fluent in English + an Eastern European language is an advantage;
  • Relevant work experience with the Eastern European market, emerging market;
  • Relevant experience within global payment systems and/or hotel industry;
  • Flexible, able to accept changes, is able to motivate and support the team in the times of constant growth of the market;
  • Experience in leading teams to success, ideally international;
  • Proven project management, process development and problem resolution capabilities;
  • Strong, enthusiastic and motivating leader;
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills (in all levels of business);
  • Advanced presentation and interpersonal skills;
  • Strong negotiating skills – Able to negotiate assertively when required;
  • Team and service orientated approach;
  • Excellent analytical skills;
  • Advanced knowledge IT and MS Excel;
  • Willingness to travel.
