Responsibilites
- Global commodity management for a defined group of sub-commodities
- Improvement of Economical company results on periodical basis (Monthly, Quarterly, Yearly)
- Development and utilization of supply market intelligence for commercial gain
- Designing and implementing RFQ’s, tenders and auctions as appropriate
- Periodical commercial negotiations for defined sub-commodities with suppliers
- Review existing metrics and ensuring effective management of key performance indicators
- Define the global commodity strategies for the sub-commodities in scope of responsibility
- Generate TCO initiatives and deliver results (Total Cost of Ownership)
- Manage Commodity footprint to support business
- Selected sub-commodities management
- Regular commodity performance report delivery
- Ensure Supplier competition
- Supplier relationship management and supplier base structuring based on the strategy
- Maintaining and developing relationships with all key stakeholders
- Perform analysis and support discussions of the higher management team members
- Monitoring commodity market and maximizing cost opportunities as a result
- Negotiate and implement global frame agreements with suppliers
- Support Product Development and Business Pursuit team in terms of best cost solutions and cost optimization
Education Requirement(s)
- Higher education in Business Management or Engineering (preferably both)
Experience Requiremens
- Thorough knowledge of all aspects of procurement and commodity management in the automotive sector – including sourcing, commercial negotiation, supplier management and global sourcing is required
- Excellent commercial & business acumen

- Familiar with TCO models and principles
- Knowledge of the Lean philosophy and tools
- Good working knowledge of Materials MRP/ERP Systems (SAP is an advantage)
- 3 years in a similar role
- The candidate should preferably have a professional qualification in Purchasing or Supply (such as CIPS or APICS) or a relevant business degree
- English on a C1 level, Spanish, French as an additional language will be an advantage.
