The Opportunity
The Strategic Account Executive (SAE) connects the world’s leading companies (including Disney, British Airways and PayPal) to Aurea’s innovative enterprise software solutions, enabling these customers to create transformative experiences for their end consumers. Acting as the “owner” of three to five strategically important large customers (Gold Accounts), the SAE acts autonomously to achieve sales objectives within an entrepreneurial, meritocratic company environment that values and rewards performance, fosters meaningful professional growth and is fun.
The Role
The SAE is responsible for leading and managing sales for Aurea’s Gold Accounts, its largest and most important customer relationships. The SAE is primarily responsible for executing Aurea’s Customer Success Program, which aims to deliver real, significant value to its Gold Accounts based on customer success metrics. Acting as an external sales representative, the SAE establishes trust-based relationships with the customer’s top business leaders, develops a deep understanding of the customer’s industry and business strategy, and leverages this access and knowledge into insights into the customer’s most pressing business needs. Working collaboratively with cross-functional groups (Product, Pre Sales, and Professional Services), the SAE leads the organization in developing a compelling roadmap that aligns the customer’s needs with Aurea’s offerings to produce differentiated, transformative value for the customer.
The Person
The ideal SAE is a naturally curious, consultative sales executive who has extensive experience creating value for senior executives by bringing technological solutions to bear on their most complex problems. He/she understands the power of technology to create transformative change, and invests a great deal of time understanding the key drivers of value for a particular business and demonstrating to senior executives how technology can accelerate and augment this transformative change. The ideal SAE combines a personable demeanor with a strong work ethic and an openness to being coached. In addition, the successful SAE has a passion for customer success, and easily engenders trust with senior executives based on her/his business acumen and insights.

Skills and experience
- Proven sales executive with consultative sales experience selling to the executive level in enterprise accounts
- Sales expert who can generate leads and close deals worth greater than $5M in annual revenue
- History of proactively developing and expanding upon existing customer relationships
- Ability to identify customer needs, lead a cross-functional effort to develop end solutions, and engage the customer across the entire value creation process
- Ability to deal effectively with a variety of individuals and groups on a global basis and to operate effectively in a high-growth, rapidly changing environment
- English fluency (verbal and written)
- German fluency a plus
