Opis stanowiska
The Asset Consulting team, part of a wider Specialist Engineering group, work with clients to provide the processes to keep their built assets running smoothly and efficiently with the least possible interference. The team develop cutting edge solutions to facilitate the efficient use of resources by helping people and companies to own, operate, maintain and remodel their operations, buildings, or facilities to best financial and environmental advantage. With previous involvement in high-profile projects such as the British Museum and the Llloyds Building, the Asset Consultancy team have established themselves as true specialists in their field.
This is a unique opportunity for a skilled Building Services professional looking to make a transition into the property/asset consultancy field.
- Ensuring deliverables for respective projects are of a high standard in terms of technical detail, written English and presentation format;
- Represent the company at meetings with the client, other professionals and contractors;
- Developing strategic, technically based reports and plans; implementing and monitoring recommended procedures;
- Preparation of condition surveys, forward maintenance plans, dilapidation schedules, defect analyses, system diagnostics reports, schedules of condition and the monitoring of the subsequent works processes;
- Demonstrate technical and financial competence in terms of building fabric, engineering services and the wider facilities management activities to ensure that a quality service is provided which represents good value for money;
- Provide business, technical, maintenance, operational and energy audits and, or studies based upon conventional and alternative energy sources for individual or groups of buildings;
- Demonstrate awareness of sustainable construction, operations and maintenance;
- Preparation of Employer's Requirements and Developer's Specifications for new buildings, building refurbishment, renovation, remodelling, engineering services and allied systems and the monitoring of project works;
- Organising resources and ensuring that services and projects are carried out to an agreed programme and within budget.
Wymagania
- Experience in building services consultancy, with a mechanical bias.
- Ability to accept a high degree of responsibility in a team-based organisation, combined with ability to work independently.
- Experience in the preparation of technical reports for delivery direct to a client audience
- The applicant will need to be an excellent communicator (verbal, written and listening) with experience of presenting (you will often be required to present solutions directly to clients)
- Ability to problem solve and propose multiple solutions to Clients and objectively summarise the benefits and shortfalls of each.
- Bachelors degree (BEng) / BSc or Masters degree (MEng) / MSc that meets the engineering academic requirements for chartership.
- Mobility to travel at short notice.
