The next generation of Office is coming and it's all about integration. We are looking for a highly self-motivated SDET with strong technical skills, who is energetic and willing to take on the new challenges to join our Office Localisation Team.
The Office Localisation team localises and releases Microsoft Office into more than 100 languages. As an SDET on our team, you will have complete end-to-end ownership of an Application and everything that comes with it including: writing automated/manual scripts to more efficiently test your application and ensure quality, developing new testing strategies and tools as needed to most efficiently execute testing, working closely with Engineering, Program Management, and Vendors. Qualifications:
- BA/BS in Computer Science or related technical discipline (or 4+ years of related industry experience)
- 2+ years of experience in software testing with a demonstrable understanding of software testing concepts
- Strong technical skills.
- Experience developing, debugging and maintaining code in C, C++, C#, or Java.
- Demonstrable organisational, problem solving, and prioritisation skills
- Good communication skills (written and verbal), strong testing aptitude, and coding proficiency
Additional, preferred qualifications include:
- Experience testing, shipping, operating, or maintaining an online service
- An understanding of server/services testing
- Demonstrable understanding of Web 2.0 technologies such as AJAX and Silverlight
- Experience working with SQL databases.
- Experience shipping one or more medium to large scale products
- Experience with 1+ full product life cyclesExperience using and building test automation, using metrics to guide test development, developing test plans, test case development, and engineering best practices
