Job description
As a Site Quality Engineer you are responsible for the full deployment of the site QEHS (Quality and Environment, Health & Safety) Management System. You contribute to the compliance of the site QEHS Management system with regulatory and company requirements as well as the ISO 9001, 14001 and OHSAS 18001 requirements.
Tasks
- Support the implementation of required corrective actions resulting from QA/QC issues identified at site.
- Contribute to the efficient monitoring of contractor compliance with Quality requirements and define corrective actions whenever required.
- Support as required the monitoring of site welding quality and welder performance.
- Support the consolidation of all site QA/QC documentation for final hand-over to the client.
- Ensure site documentation is generated, distributed, updated and archived in accordance with the QEHS Management system requirements.
- Carry out internal and contractor quality audits as per the Site Quality audit program.
- Monitor site management compliance with processes / guidelines / work instructions.
- Ensure that the ITPs (Inspection & Test Programs), the ITPLs (Inspection & Test Plans) and any erection documentation (isometrics, procedures, etc.) are effectively communicated to the site management team and the contractors.
- Ensure that inspection / testing during Civil, Mechanical & Electrical erection and Commissioning are conducted, documented, checked and validated as per the ITPLs.
- Participate / supervise acceptance testing and/or approval by customers, third parties and governmental authorities whenever required.
- Ensure that the final QA/QC documentation is continuously compiled by the Subcontractors in accordance with the requirements for final hand-over.
- Ensure that the NCR (Non-Conformance Report) System, PIRS (Project Information Retrieval System) database, ERS (Experience Response System) and any other tools are fully deployed at site and that the users are adequately supported and trained.
- Ensure compliance with Quality road map assessment requirements and drive the close-out of any CAR (Corrective Action Request) raised.
Job requirements
- University degree in an Engineering discipline or other education with experience in Quality on construction site.
- Qualification and/or experience in Welding inspection and Non-Destructive Tests.
- Auditor Qualification.
- 1-year construction site experience.
- Knowledge on construction codes / standards.
- Good communication and active listening skills.
- Ability to influence others and move towards a common vision or goal.
- Problem solving and root cause identification skills.
- Able to navigate in a multi-cultural environment.
- Fluent in English.
