Responsibilities:

An opportunity exists on a high profile, global, cross product Client Management Information programme. The programme contains a number of projects responsible for loading data from various sources and providing data warehouses which surface data to business users through various interfaces such as Business Objects, dashboards and web applications.

A Sybase developer is required to help enhance and maintain a trade and revenue reporting system to support the Securities Distribution business. The candidate would part of the team responsible for trade and settlements loads which is built upon a Linux / Sybase environment.

The team is currently made up of 2 resources in London and 2 in Switzerland.

The trade and revenue reporting system takes 60+ trade and settlement feeds from Equities, Fixed Income, Foreign Exchange and WM. It is primarily used as a reporting platform for large scale client revenue and cross product reporting. It is also used for reporting on performance metrics across the IB.

System consists of several components: the data loading and maintenance is completed on Sybase; data flows through Sybase to Oracle Warehouses where the data is bought together in a standard format and presented through a number of front end solutions.

Requirements:

Essential:

Sybase development and design (will consider strong SQL development experience)

Unix shell scripting

Out-going and confident person who can communicate effectively with other team members.

Enthusiastic and pro-active, contributing to the future development and direction of CMIS.

Able to identify and investigate problems and put solutions in place.

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Desirable:

Autosys Scheduling

Oracle development experience
