Senior CAD Engineer (Drawing Management)

Opis stanowiska

- supervise a group of Digital Mock-up and Configuration Control Designers- interact daily with the Configuration Control Responsible Officers, the ITER component Responsible Officers, the Design Office Liaison Designers and Designers- display to staff a high level of understanding and practice of the ITER CAD system and data base (CATIA V5 & ENOVIA LCA - EV5)- dealing with for example mechanical design, plant design, machine assembly and maintenance simulation, interfaces with analysts (coherence between CAD and analysis models)- be involved in assisting Digital Mock-Ups reviews, fitting simulation (clearances…), the production of top level assembly and configuration drawings and Bill-of-Materials, design collaboration with ITER Parties (data exchange, multi-CAD approach…), model and drawing checking, public relation documentation, Design Office processes and CAD Manual- work in a multinational interdisciplinary project team and be responsible for maintaining the high quality standards of the design processes conducted by the ITER Team- work towards predefined goals with a high level of autonomy

Wymagania

- higher diploma or certificates in Computer Aided Design or equivalent- minimum of 5 years experience in the responsibility of a Digital Mock-up and Configuration Control Design Office in a large multi-disciplinary project performed in an international environment and in a remote design collaboration manner- minimum of 10 years experience of daily design work using a modern CAD and data base system- demonstrated ability to produce high quality results which have stood the test of being manufactured successfully would be a distinct advantage- high level of organization and self-motivation.- knowledge of CATIA 5 would be a distinct advantage although retraining may be possible for candidates with specialised skills to offer but in a different CAD system- experience with Enovia VPM5 is not essential, though experience with previous versions of VPM, or with other integrated database systems, would be advantageous- previous experience in the design of electromechanical or nuclear plant, in particular in the fusion field, would be advantageous, as would experience with complex mechanical systems, the routing of services e.g. in aircraft, ship, or the design of biological or chemical process plant, civil engineering projects- good proficiency in speaking English, and in understanding written English, is essential
