Repair Engineer

Opis stanowiska

- execute with minimal guidance RDs (Repair Documents) development- recommend approach and lead repair development to meet the technical and program requirements. Formulate and implement plans to achieve technical requirements, schedules and contract commitments - develop action plans to anticipate and respond to problems- assure proper documentation of technical data is generated (DRB) to substantiate & introduce Changes in Design (CID), consistent with engineering policies and procedures (BP)- providing repair engineering support, mainly: (DR) Departure Records dispositions for non-conforming hardware & RSS (Repair Source Substantiation) evaluation (including on-site repair process qualification)- act as an EDC/RTCoE consultant for repair problem resolution- support other GE Repair Engineers with RTS (Readiness To Serve)- provide answers to customer's questions related to repair issues- provide support to GE shops, repair development, repair clarification, repair upgrades- active participation in cost reduction projects/activities- provide timely communications on significant issues or developments- participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews

Wymagania

- Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Computer Science- preferred 3 years of experience in an engineering position- experience in Gas Turbine or Aircraft Engine design engineering/manufacturing of hot gas path components- knowledge of engineering fundamentals & repair development- knowledge or experience with special processes (welding, brazing, coatings, etc.)- ability to plan and manage multiple programs- solid project management skills- ability to execute and consistently meet deadlines- willingness to work above and beyond expected levels to meet business needs- knowledge of Lean Six Sigma tools and how to apply- desire to continuously learn and develop self- displays lots of personal energy; strong bias for action; decisiveness- strong demonstrated cross-functional integration, communication and presentation skills- strong English oral and written communication skills- strong interpersonal and leadership skills- ability to guide and influence others
