R&D Software Development Group Leader
Our Substation Automation group is looking for a group leader willing to develop in an international environment who can manage a group of 15-25 software engineers. Your responsibilities
- Line management of a software development team
- Leverage employees’ skills and competencies and support employees’
- development
- Drive process and cultural changes in the organization towards increased
- quality and execution
- Close cooperation with Product Management and R&D Management in order to meet customer and market expectations
- Ensure on-time delivery of high-quality components within a specified scope
- Strict process adherence - confirm and later monitor defined quality metrics
- Drive a good collaboration culture in between the local teams in Krakow and other Hitachi Energy R&D locations
Your background
- Deep understanding and 4+ years of experience in Software Development and at least 4 years of experience in leading teams or groups
- Understanding of all aspects of Software Development Life Cycle: Requirements Engineering; Development; Verification and Validation; Configuration Management in Agile environment
- Knowledge of key infrastructure technologies: operating systems, infrastructure security, networking, databases, embedded development
- Energetic and enthusiastic, passionate and creative thinker, able to translate to pragmatic solutions
- Excellent leadership skills
- Fluent spoken and written English
- Experience in the energy and utilities industry would be a plus
