Purchasing Specialist
Hitachi ABB Power Grids is looking for a Purchasing Specialist for our Campus localization in Łódź. The Purchasing Specialist will be responsible for purchasing materials according to required technical specification, price, delivery schedule and other given terms & conditions. Ensuring that purchasing activities are aligned with corporate purchasing policies and procedures.
Your responsibilities
- Creating purchase orders based on purchase requisitions and negotiated contracts and sending PO’s to Suppliers with relevant methods.
- Collecting all needed information in order to clarify demand.
- Collecting purchase order acknowledgements from suppliers and reviewing them with existing contracts or negotiated price agreements.
- Ensuring that purchase orders are executed properly on supplier side, keeping frequent contact in order to track status and ensure on time delivery to the factory.
- Organizing transportation based on existing and negotiated incoterms with the suppliers.
- Tracking goods received to verify appropriate delivery and ensure invoice processing. Ensures material is delivered on time and clarifies with suppliers whenever necessary.
- Closely collaborating with Material Planner, Production Planners and other functional colleagues in accordance with policies and procedures. When required, participating in the meetings with suppliers.
- Executing exceptions of invoice verification against goods receipt and purchase order.
- Supports cycle counting and/or year-end inventory counting.
Your background
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, engineering or equivalent combination of experience and/or education is required.
- Minimum 2 years of operational experience in purchasing process.
- Knowledge of logistic, foreign trade processes, understanding of planning process.
- Experienced in SAP R/3 MM-PUR – nice to have.
- Flexibility, demonstrated ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
- Ability to work in the team and under pressure of time.
- Detail oriented, very good communications skills.
- Fluent English (written & spoken).
