- Responsibilities include optimized structural design of composite wind turbine blades while interacting with systems, loads, aero, manufacturing, and field service teams to develop high-value wind turbine composite structures with high reliability under tight time constraintsActivities to be performed in this position include some or all of the following:- Development of new analysis methods and tools- Structural design of fiberglass and carbon fiber structures using finite element models for buckling, strength and fatigue life analyses· Certification of new component designs- Support for new design qualifications with suppliers- Evolution of design tools for blade optimization, design cycle reduction, and reliability improvement- Large-scale extreme and fatigue testing- Subarticle test design and execution- Supplier Deviation Request disposition

Wymagania

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering - Minimum 5 years experience in engineering design- Minimum 1 year experience in finite element analysis- ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:- Ability and availability to travel- DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS:- Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering- Experience in Project management- Experience in Design of composite structures- Experience in Finite element modeling using Analysis- Experience in Wind blade design - Experience in Unigraphics or CATIA, particularly in CATIA composites modeling tools· Experience in Matlab- Experience in Composite processing- Proven ability to work under pressure and challenging conditions- Strong desire and ability to drive improvement and change- Technical drawing and design interpretation background - Demonstrated communication, interpersonal and presentation skills - Ability to work with global team members across cultural boundaries
