- Responsibilities include optimized structural design of composite wind turbine blades while interacting with systems, loads, aero, manufacturing, and field service teams to develop high-value wind turbine composite structures with high reliability under tight time constraintsActivities to be performed in this position include some or all of the following: - Development of new analysis methods and tools - Structural design of fiberglass and carbon fiber structures using finite element models for buckling, strength and fatigue life analyses· Certification of new component designs - Support for new design qualifications with suppliers - Evolution of design tools for blade optimization, design cycle reduction, and reliability improvement - Large-scale extreme and fatigue testing - Subarticle test design and execution - Supplier Deviation Request disposition

Wymagania

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering - Minimum 5 years experience in engineering design - Minimum 1 year experience in finite element analysis - ELIGIBILITY EWQUIREMENTS: - Ability and availability to travel - DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS: - Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering - Experience in Project management - Experience in Design of composite structures - Experience in Finite element modeling using Analysis - Experience in Wind blade design - Experience in Unigraphics or CATIA, particularly in CATIA composites modeling tools· Experience in Matlab - Experience in Composite processing - Proven ability to work under pressure and challenging conditions - Strong desire and ability to drive improvement and change - Technical drawing and design interpretation background - Demonstrated communication, interpersonal and presentation skills - Ability to work with global team members across cultural boundaries
