Junior Fixed Assets Accountant

Description:
As our Fixed Assets Accountant, you’ll be joining our in-house corporate accounting department. You will become an important part of our global team as you work to ensure that all transactions are accounted for and reflect our accounting process at Jacobs.
Key responsibilties:
- Performs Month end journal entry and review
- Interacts with individuals worldwide to resolve/record asset setup/disposals/transfers
- Prepares and reviews US entity tax package
- Generates monthly depreciation entries
- Prepares quarterly fixed asset reporting information and review ·
- Ensuring compliance with company policies, relevant accounting requirements, internal controls
- Prepares monthly/quarterly reports and records by collecting, analyzing and summarizing account information
- Prepares reviews of quarterly/monthly fixed assets reporting information.
Qualifications:
Skills and Competencies Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting
- Minimum 1 year of experience in fixed assets accounting
- Statutory and fixed assets reporting experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Access
- Very good knowledge of English (written and spoken)
- Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred qualifications:
- Oracle R12 Fixed Asset Experience
- Technical knowledge and understanding of US GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements and controls
- Experience with US Global organization
