Purpose:
Successful candidate will be responsible for supporting all IT systems including Cisco VoIP, PC’s, Cisco Switches/routers/servers and all business applications; partnering with Business and IT leadership teams to implement and support the IT technical infrastructure throughout Poland while maintaining responsibility for cost effectiveness, systems performance and adherence to company policy and standards.
KEY responsibilities:
- Gaining a full and in depth understanding of all IT requirements for Customer Care and Finance teams
- Providing PC support to Local facilities as well as remote support to the Sales and Service teams. This support includes ordering Lenovo PC’s, installing the company image, configuration, installation and maintenance of computer hardware, software and peripheral equipment.
- Dealing with all aspects of supporting and troubleshooting the building LAN, internal systems design, some limited internal systems programming, telecommunications (VoIP), networks, computer operations.
- Ensuring reliable WAN connectivity to the wider company network, working with the Global networking team and service providers.
- Developing strategies incorporating business direction and requirements around the needs of the business as defined by business leaders, and within the Global PerkinElmer business strategy.
- Participating, as a key member of the Global IT Team, and analyzing the existing networking and telecommunications areas within Poland and how they can be improved while reducing cost.

Skills required:
- In depth knowledge of desktop support and LAN/WAN infrastructure is required. You must have a considerable Windows Server knowledge including a strong understanding of Active Directory and Group Policy.
- In addition to your Active Directory and Group Policy experience you will have experience in imaging and supporting Windows 7/Windows XP, Office 2007/2010 installation and support experience and the skills to support,
- Experience in the following areas will be considered as a strong asset: SAP Client and user support, Cisco VoIP telephone System, configuration and troubleshooting switches & routers; HP or similar Server hardware as well as awareness of SCCM for remote rollouts
Education and experience:
- At least Bachelor’s degree in IT field
- Minimum 3 – 5 years of experience in supporting a busy commercial organization. You must have an in depth practical knowledge of all IT Infrastructure systems from end user support to network configuration, management and troubleshooting
Communication:
- Excellent command of English and Polish (both on native speaker level)
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to interact with multiple business units and maintain multiple priorities
- The ability to negotiate, develop, review and approve Service Level Agreements (SLAs) from third party vendors and within the company.
- The ability to be an effective leader in a matrix-reporting environment
- The ability to interact with the business leaders and comprehend its impact on the IT organization
