You will provide tracking and management of various software licenses centrally for all computer users across the IP enterprise. This role offers the opportunity to work in the team that provides and expands the services to the business units located on multiple continents. The type of work assumes cooperation with internal IT groups, external vendors, process owners and clients based in multiple countries.
- Ensuring that all software activity is captured within the central repository through the purchase activity; network auto- discovery tools, and field/product owner notification
- Actively utilizing the central asset repository system functionality to provide online viewing and reports real-time for licensing information to the enterprise
- Administrating system alarms designed to notify product owners, contract negotiators and support engineering staffs for any actions required based on license management criteria established
- Coordinating communications to users/locations within the enterprise if software compliance issues arise
- Participation in leveraged enterprise purchasing activities by providing data for informed decision-making
- Facilitating software contract information between IT Asset Management and the Global Sourcing organization
- Working with the Vendor Management Office related to software compliance issues within the enterprise
- 2 - 3 years Information Technology experience
- Fluent English (a must)
- Knowledge of structure query language (SQL) and relational database management systems (RDBMS) will be an asset
- Knowledge of computer concepts, systems management tools in use and the supported environment. Advanced skills related to data manipulation (spreadsheets, databases, queries, reports, etc.)
- Procurement/customer service experience (desired)
- Customer focus with strong communication skills for our global environment
