Indirect Buyer

This position is responsible for Indirect procurement transactions and sourcing for our corporate supply chain in Europe and North America and supports where applicable the Global Category Manager. Ideal candidate has good working knowledge and understanding of procurement concepts, principles and practices, and the techniques of ensuring task completion and supplier relationship expectations.
- Exists within our Global Business Services organization and reports to the Procurement Operations Team Lead
- Is responsible for procurement and sourcing activity in line with the firm's internal needs relating to Facilities Operations, Employee Benefits, Employee Services and Professional Services
- Reviews and negotiates international supplier contracts, with focus on the US, UK and mainland Europe
- Administers purchase orders, including change order processing (creating modifications), contractual compliance
- Evaluates facts surrounding purchase order-related problem areas, determines the most appropriate remedial actions, and implements such actions through available means
- Performs spend visibility and analysis, sourcing, contract management, supplier performance management, and procurement activities within the Ariba Spend Management Suite and Oracle Purchasing system
- Maintains purchase order and purchasing process documentation
- Performs savings tracking, and reports realized savings on a continuous base; ensures realized savings tie back to departmental budgets
- Uses superior interpersonal communications skills to effectively interface with other buyers, stakeholders and functional partners at all levels of the organization
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Administration, Law or Economy
- Some experience within various Procurement spend categories including preferably professional services (for example HR services, HR benefits, office remodeling and redecoration, cleaning, office materials) especially on US market
- Experience in understanding, negotiating and where needed drafting commercial supplier contracts, preferable in an international environment
- Understanding of insurance requirements for services that are performed on site
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Willingness to work to US time zone (12.00 - 20.00 Polish time)
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
- Experience with US or UK commercial contract law is an asset, likewise any experience with commercial contract law from other countries
- Working knowledge of enterprise procurement systems (Oracle, Ariba) would be an asset
