We are currently building an awesome new team in Poland and will be setting up our Polish HQ in Krakow. To support this setup and growth of this new R&D Center, we are seeking an HR Generalist to join as a Partner to the leadership team in Krakow.

The Role:
As an HR Generalist you will partner with our management and provide HR process, systems experience, and employee relations support for our valued employees in our new Krakow R&D Center.
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the VP of Global HR and working closely with the Krakow leadership team:
- Implement policies, procedures and practices in line with local laws and make recommendations for improvements to maintain competitiveness in the market;
- As one of the first 5 hires locally, play a key role in the successful setup of the Polish operations and management of outsourced recruitment vendors;
- Act as a first point of contact servicing and interacting with employees and external vendors, including our outsourced legal partner;
- Assure compliance with all applicable country-specific laws and regulations;
- Serve as a business partner to the local management teams;
- Promote a positive and productive employee relations environment and ensure uniform and consistent application of organization policies and procedures;
- Suggest, develop, and maintain relationships with HR and benefits-related vendors to ensure high engagement and competitive offerings, i.e. Medicover, sports providers, etc.
- Maintain HR and benefit record keeping, ensuring systems are updated and internal or external requests are completed;
- Assist management and train management with interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review, corrective and disciplinary actions, grievance and complaint investigations, workforce planning, management and compliance issues and activities;
- Create and maintain an on-boarding checklist for local hires and transfers from Belarus;
- Assist with payroll process in country;
- Conduct New Hire Orientation and Exit Interviews;
- Document issues in writing, inform VP of Global HR of all actions with regard to employee issues when needed;
- Work with VP of Global HR on escalated issues and all employee terminations; and
- Perform day-to-day regional HR functions and additional duties as required.
- Experience in all facets of HR including recruiting, compensation, employee relations, benefits, performance management and employee retention;
- Bachelor's Degree preferred;
- Min. 3 years of experience in the HR field;
- Working knowledge of local employment laws and legislations in the region; knowledge of processes related to hiring employees from Belarus a plus
- Ideally experienced with setup of regional service center or R&D center;
- Ideally experienced with a business-to-business, SaaS IT company, although prior experience in IT is not required
- Customer service based philosophy to HR;
- Proficient PC skills, knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint;
- Must partner with employees and management to communicate various HR policies, procedures, laws, standards and government regulations;
- Must have strong verbal and written English communication skills for communication with all levels of staff;
- Must be able to stay organized while working on multiple projects; and
- Team player, self-starter, detail oriented, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
