HR Generalist

Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced HR professional who will be able to support MDPI’s human resources functions. The successful candidate will act as an HR generalist and cover all aspects of the hiring process, employee relations, and labor laws to support our new office in Poland. The selected candidate will be the first employee of the HR team in the Krakow office and therefore have the opportunity to set up the culture, develop procedures, and be engaged in various HR activities.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of the hiring process and conduct interviews
- Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting
- Act as the primary contact person for our prospect employees/candidates
- Conduct employee onboarding and help organize training and development activities
- Take care of the employees’ life cycle
- Gather and analyze HR metrics
- Coordinate team-building activities and help the management with efforts to improve staff-retention and employee satisfaction
- Ensure compliance with labor regulations
- Support the implementation of the company’s culture
- Assist in development and implementation of the HR procedures
Your profile
- Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field (humanities, management, law), a Master degree is preferable
- At least 2-3 years experience in an HR generalist role
- Very good knowledge of Polish labor/employment laws
- Capability to work in a dynamic and international environment
- Strong English skills in written and spoken language - ability to conduct interviews in English
- Strong organizational and prioritizing skills
- Self-motivated, result-oriented, and able to meet deadlines
- Dynamic and reliable team player with excellent interpersonal skills and a pro-active mindset
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
