Engineer - Rotating Equipment

Opis stanowiska

- specification of load gearboxes, main drive couplings, clutches and pumps plus the rotating requirements of generators and large motors- torsional and lateral analysis of gas turbine drive trains- development of drive train alignment procedures and the specification of associated tools- support of design reviews, Requisition Engineering and Field Engineering- trouble-shooting rotating equipment vibration problems associated with generators, gearboxes, clutches, couplings, pumps and motors- analysis of proximity and velocity probe outputs, bearing orbits, waterfall plots, etc, provided by a Bently-Nevada ADRE or equivalent system

Wymagania

- BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent- minimum of 3 years post graduate rotating equipment experience associated with large rotating equipment- Desired:- extensive knowledge of the Codes and Standards associated with rotating equipment and in particular load gearboxes, clutches and couplings- 5 years post graduate rotating equipment experience associated with gas turbines, generators, gearboxes, clutches, couplings, pumps, motors, etc.- ability to perform vibration measurement of equipment in the field- basic knowledge of hydrodynamic and anti-friction bearing design- knowledge of systems design associated with gas turbine Packaging eg off-engine systems including lubrication, gas fuel, liquid fuel, water injection, steam injection, hydraulic start, water wash, fin fans, etc.- highly analytical, thorough and accurate- good communication skills and ability to work within a multi-tasking team environment
