Electronic Hardware Design Engineer
Location: Czechy, Praga
Job description
Due to expansion of our Hybrid & Electric Systems team at Prague Technical Centre we seek new applicants for the position of Electronics Hardware Design Engineer.
Electronics HW Design Engineer is responsible for electronics circuit design, including analogue, digital and mixed signal designs, PCB design, system design and implementation, low power DC/DC converters design, test equipment design, test and validation.
Job Duties
Working as a part of multinational team you will be involved in a range of automotive projects including: engine management systems and control system prototyping/ simulation, electrical machine control
- Detailed electrical circuit design
- Support of PCB layout
- Define electrical and test requirements
- Design of digital, analogue and mixed signal circuits
- Design, or support of design, of power circuits for DC/DC conversion, charging and motor control
- Development of test equipment and test procedures to test and qualify analogue and digital circuit boards or electronics modules
- Responsible for electronics design and schematics capturing
- Liaison with mechanical engineering with regard to enclosure design
- Support of prototype and volume manufacture
- Prototype debug and test
- Implementing the company procedures, safety and quality standards during the development process
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have most of the following
- BSEE degree; MS degree preferred
- Fundamental understanding of digital, analogue and mixed signal circuit design
- Fundamental understanding of switched-mode power conversion as applied to DC circuits
- Development process understanding
- Knowledge of the circuit simulation and computer-aided design tools (CAD)
- Knowledge of printed circuit board layout, interconnection, packaging, EMC and EMI
Additional skills that would be advantageous include
- Electric motor and generator control applications
- Power conversion circuit design and control
- Battery packs and battery management systems
- Knowledge of hybrid electric vehicles
- Knowledge of system test equipment design
- Knowledge of design and validation for manufacturing
- Industrial control and automation
- Experience with Test Equipment Design, LabView programming
- Functional safety standards ISO26262 or/and IEC61508
