Job description
Our client Alstom, a world leader in transport infrastructure, power generation and electrical grid, is building a new Power Plant in Narva, Estonia. We are currently searching for a logical and process minded Site Lead Planner for Alstom. The duration of this position will be approximately until November 2014.
The Site Lead Planner’s main task is to take care and coordinate the planning activities of the site. He is responsible for coordinating site planning activities, creating and sharing planning activity analysis and monitoring the sites progress. He reports directly to the Site Manager.
Tasks
- Responsible for coordination of site planning activities and defining priorities for the site management
- Site’s progress monitoring and reporting to management
- Assist managers with resource planning
- Coordinate that the site is on schedule and important dates such as milestone and handling over
- Generate periodic CMS reports
- Assist the Planning Department with different processes, tools and procedures
- Coordinate interfaces between internal and external site planners
- Prepare REX analysis
Job requirements
- Bachelor or Master of Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Process etc.)
- Previous experience and knowledge of site construction execution, planning and monitoring
- Fluent English skills (written and spoken). Russian or Estonian is an advantage
- Good computer skills and knowledge of planning software (Primavera, MS Project)
- Previous experience and knowledge in scheduling
- Motivated and goal-oriented to achieve targets set
- Good communication skills
- Open-minded for new ideas
