Capita Conferences delivers over 250 UK public sector events per year across local and central government, education, police, children’s services, HR, health and housing. The events include major one-day national policy conferences, large-scale exhibitions, half day briefings and workshops.
Capita Conferences is the market-leader for public sector events, attracting over 10,000 delegates a year. Our conferences are both cross-cutting and cutting edge: we tackle vital issues facing the public sector, with key experts and practitioners sharing best practice and advice to teach and inform delegates in their field of work.
Capita Conferences is part of the Learning Services Division within the Capita.
Please note that the role may require working to take place in a shift pattern between 9:00 and 19:00 (Monday to Friday).
As Database Administration Specialist you will be responsible for:
Your primary responsibilities will be maintaining and administrating the Customer Relationship Management Database, while acting as the central point within the Conferences team for any administration queries including setup of new users and simple modification to configuration.
Data Management:
- Uploading rented lists of data on a quarterly basis
- Uploading Researched data contact lists on a monthly basis
- Ongoing data cleansing
- Ensuring correct integration between CRM and other systems
- Ad-hoc projects e.g. mass removal of data, mass categorisation etc.
Owning The "Unsubscribe”Process:
- Uploading unsubscribes, hard bounces and data updates from daily Adestra reports and lists generated by the marketing team
- Distributing undeliverable data
- Proactively recommending and implementing ideas to improve quality and usability of data in database
Policing and Ensuring Data Integrity:
- Maintaining System Security e.g disabling accounts when necessary, informing management of unacceptable use, maintaining and monitoring seeds in the database.
- Managing Data to ensure it has been entered correctly and escalating where not.
- Monitoring changes to ownership, source codes and categorisation
Producing and maintaining reports/lists:
- Extracting data as required by business users (reports to be prioritised by management)
- Building data lists from CRM based on marketing plans for use in campaigns
Key Stakeholder / Manager Liaison on any database issues
Supporting any other business tasks that may be required
- Hold a university degree
- Have experience of working in a fast paced customer focused business, servicing an English speaking market
- Have a proven track record of building excellent relationships with stakeholders
- Have experience of working to strict deadlines in a target driven environment
- Have experience of working with IT in a business environment
- Have excellent IT skills, including MS Office.
- Have knowledge of the UK Public Sector
- Previous experience of Adobe and Microsoft Dynamics CRM would be beneficial
- Are fluent in English (both oral and written)
- Are fluent in other European Languages (considered an asset)
- Have strong communication skills and a very strong customer service orientation
- Are proactive with strong multi-tasking and prioritisation skills
- Have high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Are able to work on own initiative but also work very well as part of a team
