Position purpose
Working closely with the HR Directors and HR Services teams the Compensation & Benefits Manager will recommend, implement and deliver the compensation and benefits strategy, creating packages which attract and retain staff. He/She will also monitor industry trends and general legislation affecting this area which will be used to shape strategic solutions.
The role requires a significant commercial acumen, confidence and ability to influence at a senior level which is critical to the successful delivery of the role objectives. Has a proactive approach with strong visibility in the business.
Main accountabilities
• Manage Compensation & Benefits processes – drive actions to process optimization and introduce necessary changes/improvements;
• Review of existing benefits packages and bonus schemes and recommend new solutions to HR Directors
• Delivery of flex benefits portfolio including annual renewal process, systems and tools & communication of benefits to employees
• Responsible for all aspects of annual performance review and compensation review processes including salary increases, bonus payments and performance management
• Maintain an understanding of the legislative and tax landscape within which the compensation role operates
• Promote best practice and knowledge sharing within business influencing management decisions where necessary, provides information, and coaching where required, to business stakeholders/works councils/employees
• Provide leadership and clear direction and project management for all projects in the compensation and benefits area
• Delivery of benchmarking and insights in the compensation and benefits arena, via salary surveys, networking and recruitment data – drawing all of these things together to deliver a coherent view of the market which can drive management decisions in relation to remuneration
• Contribution to overall performance strategy
• People management of Compensation & Benefits team
Requirements
• Very good command of spoken and written English;
• Extensive experience in the Compensation & Benefits service delivery
• Experience in people management
• Very good communication skills
• Excellent analytical skills
• Very good Client facing skills
• Knowledge of MS Office
• Ability to work to tight deadlines
• Ablility to cooperate within the team
