Apex Systems is now hiring Cloud Services Developer professional in Amsterdam.
Key Accountabilities:
- Developers to make new cloud services for the Customer’s Private Cloud in VMware Vrealize Automation or Orchestrator ( vRA 6) (vRA 7).
- A cloud service consists of a part vRA/vRO code and a part Puppet/Ansible code. For this role a developer needs to make vRA/vRO code.
- Note that a developer is building content within a vRA, so knowledge about the product itself is good to have, but not the most important thing.
- As a developer you need to be able to write new pieces of code to achieve certain purposes, writing objects to SNOW, running several Ansible playbooks for multi machine deployments.
- Development background: be able to reason about programming methodologies.
- Object Oriented Programming skills: Preferably JavaScript, because this is used in vRO.
- DevOps: How can we create new functionality for the customer in a DevOps way of working.
- CD/CI: What components do you need and why? How am I capable of automation the entire development and release process.
- Some basic and/or high-level knowledge about infrastructure(cloud). This will be the domain you will be coding for.
- Some basic and/or high-level knowledge about Linux based Operating Systems, Puppet/Ansible and APIs.
- Basic knowledge on vRealize Automation version 6, 7.x – Create and publish catalog items, blueprints.
- Medium-High knowledge on vRealize Orchestrator – Workflow development and coding.
- Puppet knowledge is a preference
- Create, manage and develop catalog items in vRealize automation/Orchestrator for different teams at Customer.
- Some basic and/or high-level knowledge about infrastructure(cloud). This will be the domain you will be coding for.
- VMware vRA experience is highly preferred
- Code and develop new capabilities or actions for these items in vRealize automation/Orchestrator.
