Business Intelligence Analyst (BIA)

Responsibilities:
- Testing and developing innovative data analytic solutions for the Data Analytics Team
- Working with the Data Analytic Team and the Employee Benefits Division to produce data related consultancy and data related propositions
- Supporting the Data Analytic Team in the creation and improvement of existing reporting formats and templates together with product/propositions
- Performing tests and evaluations regularly to ensure data security, privacy and integrity
- Providing technical review of the reporting solution, identifying project risks and estimating development time for such solution
- Design and implement existing and new reports in accordance to end users information needs and views
- Define users and enable data distribution to the right user, in appropriate format, and in a timely manner
- Provide proactive and reactive data management support and training to users
- Liaising closely with Capita consultants to esure technical alignment and efficient response to client data reporting queries/requirements
Requirements:
- Proven working experience as a Business Analyst in business intelligence field
- Hands-on experience with reporting standards and end user applications
- BSc degree in Computer Science, Business Analysis or relevant
- Excellent English skills (both oral and written)
- Excellent knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, integrity
- Familiarity with data cleansing processing and cleaning
- Previous experience with visualisation packages and third party tools e.g. Tableau, Qlikview,
- Software Oracle, RShiny and D3
- Familiarity with SQL (knowledge of Object Orientated Language e.g. Python or R will be considered as an asset)
- Exposure and understanding of the benefits and pensions sector preferable but not essential
- Problem solving skills and ability to think algorithmically
