Job description
Primary Purpose
To undertake the role of technical sales BIM Consultant, ensuring that the Company provides the appropriate advice, guidance and approach to Clients and their BIM Projects. To liaise with PCL’s BIM technical experts to help guide, define, deliver and support new BIM products and services.
Key Responsibilities
Client Facing
To act in a consultative technical role on identified projects, advising and working with clients, and other stakeholders, to determine best approach in achieving required outcomes.
To assist account management and project management personnel by attendance at client meetings, events and exhibitions when required.
Technical
Working with the BIM technical experts, to be aware of current and future processes and technologies and advise on their suitability to ensure the Company remains at the forefront of BIM technologies and the BIM services we offer.
To support the existing business strategy in relation to BIM developments/technology and support its implementation through provision of training and advice to internal staff and outsource suppliers.
To support the development of a ‘best practice’ approach to the construction of BIM data across all sectors of the AECO environment in conjunction with the BIM Team and the Senior BIM Consultant
Requirements
BIM Expertise
The ideal candidate will have a solid background in either Architecture or Construction and have been have been involved in the early adoption of BIM. It would advantageous if they have experience of setting up a BIM environment within either of the above sectors and can competently advise others on best practice and industry direction.
The ideal candidate will have experience in liaising with both internal and external stakeholders/clients and possess good presentation skills.
