Job description
Bangladesh is vulnerable to natural disasters due to the frequency of extreme climate events and high population density. You can help rural people to overcome the challenges posed by climate change by supporting them to develop more resilient agricultural practices.

Description:
You will work with WJCC to introduce new climate adaptive models for agriculture and help to create better opportunities to link small-hold farmers with markets.
Requirements
You’ll have experience and excellent knowledge of agricultural production and marketing. This should ideally include skills in designing and implementing climate adaptive models for both agriculture and fisheries. Strong research skills, including reporting and documentation, are essential. Previous experience of providing training and guidance to others would be ideal for this role.
Important:
VSO EU Aid volunteers is one of several pilot projects under the EU Aid Volunteers scheme, developed by the European Community Humanitarian Office (ECHO). In order to apply, you’ll need to be a citizen of an EU member state and be ready to start your placement between November 2012 and February 2013.
Please note that this is a voluntary job. VSO will provide you with training before your placement, a local living allowance, return flights, accommodation and insurance.
