Requirements:
- 3+ yrs experience working within a JavaScript environment
- Proficiency in at least one server-side language
- Excellent knowledge of client-side technologies - HTML(5), CSS(3) and JavaScript
- Strong knowledge of web security best practices
- Familiarity with Linux environment and command line
- Knowledge of Amazon Web Services or similar cloud infrastructure
- Familiarity with responsive CSS frameworks (Bootstrap, Foundation etc.)
- Experience with JavaScript charting and graphics libraries (Highcharts, D3.js)
- Knowledge of client-side MVC framework Ember.js
- Written and verbal proficiency of the English language
- Excellent level of IT/Technical literacy
- Ability to work both independently or as part of a team
- An inquisitive and questioning mind
- Enjoy working on challenging problems and presenting innovative solutions
- Experience building RESTful applications
- Experience with testing frameworks
- Graduate in computing discipline
- A willingness to take responsibility
Responsibilities:
- To be a key part in the timely delivery of high quality web based financial systems
- To take responsibility for the complete lifecycle of the solutions being delivered, from design through to implementation and testing.
- Assist in the resolution of day to day operational issues which may arise and implement process improvements to safeguard against such issues
- Take part in high level feasibility studies and problem analysis sessions
- Design innovative web based solutions to business problems which are both flexible and highly efficient
- Implement said solutions, primarily within a web based development environment
- Design and/or implement tests to ensure the correct functioning of delivered products
- Assist in the problem solving of any operational issues and improve products or processes to safeguard against such issues reoccurring in the future
- Continually work to improve the efficiency of the product set to enhance functionality and reduce cost
