Training Content Development is a part of Motorola Solutions Learning organization. The role of the department is design, development and maintenance of training materials for Motorola Solutions employees, partners and customers.This role will entail producing training courses as outlined by the instructional designers while ensuring proper quality and on schedule completion of the development work assigned. It will also involve recognizing early on and communicating any potential risks or issues that could affect the project’s completion to their team leader.

It will also involve recognizing early on and communicating any potential risks or issues that could affect the project’s completion to their team leader.
Expectations:
• Solid understanding of training delivery methods and courseware creation process including analysis, design, development and implementation.
• Development of courseware including instructor led trainings, online training, virtual instructor led training, lab guides, quick reference guides, and interactive end user toolkit.
• Participation in quality reviews of assignments to ensure they are of acceptable quality and compliant with the appropriate development process.
• Ability to complete the projects with moderate supervision.
• Strong team player skills with the ability to work in a fast‐paced, rapidly changing environment
• Demonstrated proficiency in creating engaging e‐learning courses from technical content
Collaboration:
This role will work directly with internationally dispersed individuals and teams of Instructional Designers, Subject Matter Experts, Master Instructors and Project Managers. Therefore, the ability to clarify unknowns, initiative in raising issues and risks is a must have.
Motorola Product Knowledge:
In order to understand the direction of the Instructional Designers and Subject Matter Experts it is desirable to have the highest level non‐engineering understanding of the features, functions, and applicability of Motorola products and services. Prior experience or knowledge is a plus, and the willingness to rapidly gain such knowledge is required.
Education and Experience:
- At least BSc in Computer Science, Graphics Design, Media Design or English Language.
- Typically 2 or more years of technical writing and/or training material development experience
Essential Skills:
• Graphic and multimedia design sensibilities
• Microsoft Power Point expert
• Articulate/Adobe Captivate user
• Knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS)
• Knowledge of industry standards (SCORM), tools and design techniques.
