Technical Support Engineer:

plans and executes technical tasks requiring specialist skills in own professional area

works independently with the responsibility for solving customer request cases and reporting according to processes

will be responsible for providing Level 3 technical support

handles support requests assigned via Resolve Tool and acts as a link between front-end customer support personnel and Product Creation (R&D) to solve customer requests

participates in special projects (e.g. customer pilots, trials) and in troubleshooting activities which requires remote or on-site support
Must have:

Unix system administration skills (RedHat Enterprise Linux is an advantage) including server installation and updating

clustering software knowledge (preferably Veritas Cluster Software but experience with alternative clustering products would be considered)

use and configuration of storage arrays such as EMC

advanced knowledge of TCP/IP networking - server and switch configuration.
