Desa Plants is a subsidiary of Decock Plants which produces cuttings of ornamental plants. It is located in Ejersa, 83 km from Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia. Desa Plants employs 750 people.

- BSc Degree in Engineering (electrical, mechanical, and industrial), Agriculture and Horticulture. Diploma in mechanics with relevant experience.

We look for a highly qualified and experienced Technical Manager who will plan and direct all technical activities within the technical department. The Technical Manager will have the following duties and responsibilities through own input and by coordinating his supporting staff:
- Daily management of the technical department. To manage all tasks within a specified timeframe and budget.
- To train, motivate, coach and maintain an efficient and competent technical team.
- Work closely together with other departments.
- To keep all equipment always in production (construction, electrics, refrigeration equipment, fertilizer units, climate computer and equipment).
- Develop and implement maintenance programs for all equipment; ensure proper stock levels of critical spare parts; set priorities and develop instructions and procedures.
- Responsible for startup and follow up of expansion projects.
- You will also be the head responsible for the technical follow up of our foreign production location in Ethiopia which imply that you will have to be willing travel to Ethiopia.
- During the week end you will take part of the duty system.
