Tax Analyst

Workplace: Kraków

The Tax Analyst will play a critical role providing support to the Tax and Finance organization in Europe. The candidate will be dedicated to support and optimize all Direct Tax (CIT) and Indirect Tax (VAT) compliance and planning matters for PerkinElmer legal entities in Europe.

Responsibilities:
• Support and coordinate all Financial Controllers in our Krakow´s Shared Services Center (SSC) in the establishment of timely CIT/VAT returns for all entities, and maintain a tracking/status matrix, including:
o Statutory returns, including legal and financial information,
o Income Tax Returns and annexes,
o Tax prepayments,
o VAT monthly/ quarterly and yearly returns,
o Quarterly country Tax dashboards.
• Support the European Tax Manager on all related requests to increase compliance in Europe.
• Provide ad-hoc support, coordination and expertise to any tax planning efforts.
• Organize and support periodical tax reconciliations with the Financial Controllers of our Krakow´s SSC. Organize follow up reviews.
• Proactive support and ability to improve and redesign process flow for VAT and CIT compliance in a matrix organization and commissionaire distribution model.
• Support periodic direct and indirect tax training in Krakow´s SSC.
• Support and coordinate with IT on all the efforts to maintain the integrity of the financial systems to meet all VAT, CIT, Intrastat or other tax compliance requirements.
• Optimize processes for tax payments, tax forecasting and VAT in accordance with PerkinElmer global tax objectives and local rules.
• Appropriate matrix to track status and progresses on all important compliance reporting.

Requirements for the position:
Education and Experience:
• Law, Business Administration or Economy university background (Master degree in Tax would be a plus),
• Very good accounting knowledge,
• Excellent knowledge of SAP,
• Microsoft office (especially proficiency in excel),
• HFM knowledge would be a plus,
• 2 to 5 years experience in taxes (Big Four, Tax department of MNE, etc),
• Good CIT and VAT experience (intra EU transactions, triangulations, deferred taxation, etc.).

Communication Requirements:
• Fluent in English at least CEFR C1 level (any other European language is a plus)
• Strong communication skills.
