The team you’ll be part of
Our Business Group is a leader in wireless mobility networks and associated services. With more than 3.500 patent families essential for 5G we have a strong 5G portfolio and are a front runner in open and virtualized radio access networks (O-RAN and vRAN).
MN RAN
You will join the RAN Business Unit and will enjoy our culture of innovation, openness, discipline, simplicity, accountability, and profit mindset.
Your future teams are developing Nokia 3GPP mainstream radio technology products and solutions including cross-technology responsibility (Multi Radio Access Technology).
Your unit’s main priorities are flawless execution of System programs including Network Management & Optimization and attached services.
What you will learn and contribute to
- Maintaining selected specification chapters or sections in the requirement management system, related to your area of expertise
- Leading of cross-functional specification teams
- Specification of new features on the system level
- Specification of feasibility studies
- Analysis of customer feature requirements
- Interaction with 3GPP delegates about the interpretation and understanding of LTE/5G procedures
- Log analysis of LTE/5G lab and field results
- Analysis of link level and system level simulation result
- Troubleshooting of LTE/5G features during verification, offering and customer application
- Support of SW development teams that make use of agile development methods
- Support of technical writer teams in the creation of customer documentation
Your skills and experience
- Strong background in 5G/LTE L1 and L2 either based on a product and/or 3GPP
- Knowledge of algorithms and algorithm specification methods
- Basic knowledge of front-haul interfaces (CPRI, eCPRI) and wireless deployment aspects
- Basic knowledge of agile development methods
- Team player who can provide timely and high-quality technical contributions
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Master or Bachelor of science in telecommunication, computer science or equivalent area preferred
