Purpose of the role
Set up, lead and deliver Supplier Performance Management (SPM) across the IAG external supplier spend portfolio
Establish group vision, strategy and on-going leadership for SPM across the four elements of the programme: Supplier Performance, Supplier Innovation, Supplier Risk Management, CSR in the supply chain.
Collaborate with senior stakeholders to adopt and embed SPM practices and culture into the businesses, delivering the framework and support services thatenable effective execution and achievement of results that add value.
Align SPM activities with group Procurement objectives in close collaboration with the Head of Procurement and Heads of Category
Accountabilities
• Manage the SPM team
• Define and maintain group policy on SPM (including standing instructions, guidelines and templates)
• Define and deliver the support required from the SPM team that enables the business to effectively execute SPM and embed SPM culture
• Act as the escalation point for SPM non-compliance and manage the process for correction, escalating as needed
• Take responsibility for addressing procurement audit actions relating to SPM
• Manage communications with suppliers regarding IAG (e.g. cascading IAG objectives to suppliers) and represent Procurement at appropriate corporate supplier events (e.g. supplier awards)
• Define the strategy and manage delivery of the procurement Supplier Risk programme which encompasses supplier risk post contract award
• Maintain the IAG level segmented supplier list including the Supplier risk list.
• Manage on-going benchmarking of IAG’s SPM programme with other leading external organisations, identifying and recommending improvements and implementing change.
• Define SPM training requirements for ASMs and procurement colleagues, ensuring that training is timely and effective to drive high performance
• Own the SPM Platform tool (supported by Procurement Ops team)
• Facilitate the delivery of the ‘Responsible Procurement’ programme, including managing the team who will undertake supplier corporate responsibility and audits post-contract award.

Required Skills, Qualifications & Experience
Qualifications
A degree or equivalent level of education. A further procurement qualification is desirable but not essential
Skills
Excellent people manager with ability to inspire, lead, build and deliver through high performance teams.
Strong business and financial acumen with ability to evaluate, analyse and solve problems
Ability to influence, align diverse views and gain consensus, providing clarity and direction on what is to be achieved and break down barriers that get in way of effective team working.

Excellent written and spoken English
Working knowledge of the languages of the countries of our operating companies is an asset: working knowledge of Spanish is particularly important
Experience
Experience working in with suppliers in a complex, global organization
Experience managing stakeholders
Knowledge and experience working with Six Sigma or similar project management
Experience of working in an environment of change involving people, process, policy and technology.
Experience managing teams for success, with and without direct line management responsibility.
