This position supports Global Procurement in administering insurance and is responsible for maintaining compliant supplier insurance certification throughout the life cycle of procurement agreements.
The Administrator requests insurance certificates and reviews them against the firm’s internal insurance coverage requirements. Insurance certification information is fed into company internal insurance certificate database and renewals tracked and managed to ensure constant compliance.
Non-compliance is addressed by the Administrator to the responsible corporate function. The incumbent understands basic insurance requirements and the importance of having compliant insurance evidence as part of mitigating risk to the company.
- Reviews and evaluates insurance certificate information submitted by suppliers against the firm’s internal requirements as stipulated in supplier agreements
- Manages certification renewals
- Where necessary clarifies coverage issues with the corporate insurance team, insurance companies and brokers
- Uses good interpersonal communications skills to effectively interface with suppliers, managers and functional partners at all levels of the organization
- Utilizes company systems to perform above mentioned responsibilities
- Prepares reports as requested - Excel mainly
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Insurance, Law, Economy, Math’s or Engineering
- Insurance related experience would be an asset
- Strong attention to detail coupled with strong analytical capabilities
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken (C1 level)
- Spanish and other foreign language skills would be an asset
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Good skills with Excel (pivot tables and VLOOKUP)
- Working knowledge of enterprise procurement systems (Oracle, Ariba) would be an asset
The work shifts are:
Monday-Friday
2 weeks: 8.00 am till 4.30 pm
1 week: 9.30 am till 6.00 pm
