The Highways team is committed to delivering major highway schemes for National Agencies and Contractors both in Poland and internationally. In addition, we support major local authorities and developers in the UK and USA in realising their highway related projects. This is achieved through a fully integrated approach to project delivery and drawing on the services of all CH2M, a Jacobs company skill groups from locations throughout the region.
As a Senior Highways Assistant you will provide technical support on the development of highway and general transportation infrastructure projects, and assisting in overall delivery of projects.
- Developing highway designs and associated highway infrastructure works to time and budget.
- Support on technical report delivery.
- Use highway design software such as MX, In Roads, AutoCAD and AutoCAD (Civil 3D).
- Delivering projects in English
- Liaising with other 3rd parties as required on projects
- Relevant accredited engineering degree at Masters level.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Preparation of design drawings.
- Knowledge of at least one of the design software: MX, In Roads, or AutoCAD (Civil 3D).
- Demonstrable ability to work to time and budget
- Demonstrable experience of producing Specifications and Bills of Quantities
- Demonstrable experience of pavement design, sign design and barrier design and also drainage design (using MicroDrainage or similar software)
- An understanding of health and safety issues in relation to the design and construction of civil engineering works
- Knowledge of UK codes and standards (DMRB), and Eurocodes would be an advantage.
- Graduate member of a professional body and commitment to professional development.
