Our Client is looking for solid SQL Specialist with automation skills to optimize and troubleshoot large ERP applications. Person will join Cloud Operations Team to interact wih large SaaS and PaaS solutions:
Place of work: Gdansk or Wroclaw
Primary Responsibilities:
- Plays a role in cross-functional team that conducts proactive monitoring, remote diagnostic investigation and maintenance activities on SQL database systems
- Acts as an escalation point for all incidents involving SQL database environments
- Provides operations support by responding to inbound calls and emails from a wide variety of client organizations and external groups and performs the necessary support required to resolve issues
- Provides support during large scale outages and disaster recovery efforts
- Creates, employs and maintains resource documentation for reference and troubleshooting issues
- Creates change requests in accordance with change management policy
- Collaborates with internal groups to create reports on up time, Service Levels, server utilization, and other key metrics.
- Provides recommendations to improve the customer experience.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- SQL Server administration, managing clusters and database monitoring
- Performance tuning and optimization, using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools
- Troubleshooting and resolving database problems
- Automation by scripting (Powershell or Python)
- Configuration of Windows server, including Active Directory and services
- Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors
- 3-5 years of experience with SQL Server 2012, SQL 2008 R2 or SQL 2008
- 3-5 years of demonstrated database expertise with the ability to successfully complete large engagements and manage difficult client situations
- Following certifications will a plus: MCTS, MCITP, MVP, ITIL v3 Foundation.
