Job description:
As a Service Transition Engineer for the EMEA Service Transition team, in the Managed Services Regional Centre in Krakow, your roles and responsibilities will be to:
- Establish VPN connectivity between the Customer and network
- Discover and Activate network elements/ devices on the managed services platform
- Troubleshoot IP Networking issues, encountered during the device activation phase
- Apply working knowledge of Network Management Protocols - SNMP, syslog, NETCONF and Routing & Switching protocols for Enterprise and Service Provider networks
- Present and Describe the high level network connectivity diagram to Customers/ Sales/ other stakeholders when needed
- Participate in customer workshops and take an active role in the technical discussions
- Partner with the Service Transition Project Manager and other internal and external stakeholders, to ensure on time and successful completion of technical tasks during Service Transition
- Work with multiple customers (up to 4 assignments) and execute device activation and onboarding
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology/ Telecommunications
- 3+ years relevant experience as a network engineer
- Customer facing experience in a multi-national/ multi-cultural environment
- Cisco Professional level certification
- Working knowledge of Routing & Switching. Knowledge of Security technologies is a plus
- English language. Proficiency in German/ French is a plus
