For our Client - leading international software provider, based in Katowice – we are looking for Web Architect.

The Web Architect is to act as an expert in web development, technologies and best practices such that they can oversee all website development performed in the company, enabling the web development teams to rapidly create websites of the highest quality as well as ensuring a scalable and performant web delivery platform. Moreover, the scope of duties includes:
• Maintain and enforce technical, development and security standards
• To create, maintain and drove the ‘big picture’ vision for Web Development and Delivery
• To work with Solution Architects and stakeholders to establish accurate requirements, proposals and estimates
• To understand and communicate the non-functional requirements of any system
• Ensure support and transition is properly considered at the requirements stage
• To oversee the implementation of and assist with all developed sites
• To provide 3rd line support for websites
• Provide technical expertise with regards to performance tuning, browser support and responsive design
• Ensure that you are always at the forefront of cutting edge web development by attending conferences, meeting with industry experts and constantly researching latest technologies.
• Assist with product development by creating rapid prototypes of the latest technologies so that we can prove concepts and then commit to long term development plans.
• Produce generic and flexible modules of code that can tackle the more complex scenarios that a web developer within Perform would come across and then communicate this to the wider community.
• Act as the Product Owner for features and functionality to empower company’s web developers
• Work closely with the back end developers to ensure their understanding of requirements and technical approaches are fit for purpose.
• Assist with the documentation of new features and services by writing clean and clear snippets of code adhering to best practice standards.
• To provide recruitment and induction of new developers
• To aid with developer performance evaluation
• Make sure the standards of web development are clear and up to date.
• To provide 3rd line support for production systems, and if required by the business to be ‘on call’ to provide out-of-hours support.

To be an ideal candidate you should have experience in work on similar position and knowledge of high performance web platforms, internet security best practices, software performance analysis and optimisation, development platform creation, website development technologies and best practices, building and supporting robust and multi-tenancy environments. Additionally, you should be proficient with LAMP Stack, HTML5 & CSS, JavaScript and associated frameworks, XML & JSON, AJAX, JSONP & CORS, WebSockets, responsive web development, server and Client side rendering optimisations, multiple platforms including Mobile Devices and Connected TVs and Web Analytics and Reporting. Good candidates should be insightful, detailed and have strong problem solving skills. Good English knowledge is a must.
