Your role
We’re looking for someone that can help us with:
- Responding to complex FATCA, AEI and QI queries related to onboarding, reporting, withholding
- Assisting in completing W-8 forms and self-certifications for UBS legal entities
- Assisting with entity classification queries (new/modify/dissolve entities) for UBS legal entities
- Assisting business in populating task lists to set up legal entities
- Providing support / advice to business in complying with FATCA regulations and internal FATCA / QI policies and procedures related to complex circumstances
- Providing knowledge support to Junior team members to develop the global team
- Preparing responses to complex queries (both client and internal)
- Providing internal guidance on how new FATCA, AEI & QI regulations impact UBS and how to implement compliant solutions
- Liaise with global Group Tax colleagues in providing above support to UBS businesses and functions globally
Your team
You’ll be working in the AEI-FATCA / QI Competence Center team in Krakow. Our role is to provide the different functions involved in FATCA related processes with timely and qualitative responses in order to:
- Avoid errors in FATCA relevant processes, which could pose risks to UBS’s compliance
- Ensure consistency in application of the regulatory Control Framework
- Provide a responsive service to clients and investors by answering operational related queries based on agreed procedures and FAQs
You will be responsible for supporting the competence center in their day to day activities and projects.
Your experience and skills
You have:
- Bachelor's degree or above
- Experience of local operational tax regulations and the ability to interpret and apply them to actual situations
- At least 1 3 years of relevant tax experience, ideally on FATCA, AEI (also known as Common Reporting Standard CRS), and QI
- Effective team working / collaborative skills that contribute to positive working relationships with counterparts as part of a global team across many jurisdictions
- Good judgment and an inquisitive approach to practices and procedures. Personal authority and integrity. Independence and resilience
- Very good knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint

- Well organized, with a sharp eye for detail
- Self motivated
- Fluent in English
