Procurement Shared Services Center (PSSC) based in Łódź, Poland, is part of global Philips Procurement. Under the umbrella of Royal Philips, Philips Procurement manages and performs sourcing and procurement activities for (indirect) goods and services for Philips. PSSC acts on behalf of the Philips businesses, handling every step in the purchasing process – from demand analysis to final delivery. Your challenge:
To perform tactical and operational sourcing for indirect materials and services in IT commodity, and support your internal customers in executing the process flows within the various systems. Provide administrative support and guidance for appropriate use of procurement tools and applications and deliver value added services through customized reporting and market intelligence towards entire Procurement organization. Make right decisions in difficult situations, when time is critical. Take charge of a group to overcome difficulties, face issues and ensure that decisions are made. Actively offers support to others to achieve the team/project goals.
Your key responsibilities:
- Manages/coordinates purchasing activities and improvement projects within IT spend category within and outside PSSC scope (sourcing, negotiations, contract management, category/commodity management, Payment Terms improvement etc.)
- Manages activities within a team and/or team, plans activities, determines division of work and controls quality
- Ensure internal customers receive satisfactory services
- Actively supports Procurement and PSSC key initiatives
Ensures compliance with Procurement policies and procedures, codes of ethics and general business principles - Provides coaching and professional support (incl. development) towards PSSC staff
- Delegates appropriate resources for projects/ initiatives
- Manages relationship with the internal customers and stakeholders proactively
- Leads communication related to service in scope (outside team)
- Leads (complex) projects within and outside PSSC scope
- Identifies improvement opportunities and translates these as specific project (incl. sourcing projects)
- Analyzes available reports to provide recommendations within the procurement scope
- Manages spend independently (including savings identification and execution, contract preparation and maintenance)
- Leads/actively supports definition and deployment of Commodity Strategy Development (CSD)
- Manages supplier relationship and performance
- Manages Procurement relations with service provider
- Deals effectively with ambiguity and change management and coaches others in embracing Philips behaviors
- Takes personal responsibility for the success of the group, unit, department, or organization
- Takes charge of a group to overcome difficulties, face issues and ensure that decisions are made

We are looking for people with:
- Graduate with Bachelor or Master degree
- Fluent English is a must (both orally and in writing)
- 3 years of sourcing experience within Procurement and/or IT functions
- Procurement experience and expertise (incl. Cluster and market knowledge)
- Project Management skills/experience
- Working in matrix organization preferred
- Experience in remote stakeholder management/influence
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills; convincing power
- Strong Demand and Change management Expertise
- Very good communication skills and customer attitude
- Self-driven and pro-active, able to work independently in virtual environment
- Developed analytical thinking skills with an eye for detail
- Leadership and team building skills
- Computer literacy essential and experience in MS office applications (excellent command of MS Excel is a must)
