Senior Software Engineer (backend)

For our Client, social media company, we are currently looking for qualified Candidates for the position of PHP Developer.

Location: Krakow/remotely
Job type: contract
Project duration: 6 month (with possibility of renewal)
Rate: negotiable

Responsibilities:
•building PHP clients that integrate search technologies into applications
•managing high volume data throughput, including full-index builds
•integrating search technologies into site-wide system monitoring tools
•supporting application integration, including construction of integration tests
•exploiting information retrieval techniques (query expansion, fuzzy search, …)
•ETL structured and unstructured data to support knowledge acquisition

Requirements:
•expert knowledge of PHP
•solid understanding of OOP principles
•doing back-end work with ORACLE/SQL
•building front-end interfaces using HTML, JavaScript and libraries such as JQuery/JQuery UI
•practical experience writing automated unit tests
•3+ years of professional software development experience
•knowledge of Java

Nice to have
•capability of doing object-oriented analysis, design and programming
•knowledge of Kafka, Storm, Spark, Zookeeper, etc.
•knowledge of search technologies: Solr (Solr Cloud), ElasticSearch, Lucene
•experience with Eclipse, Github, Maven, Jenkins
