Senior Scrum Master

Our client is working Agile and aiming to SAFe framework. Currently having 11 developers, 2 UX, 4 testers, 1 Product Owner, 1 Technical Product Owner and planning to split the team into two main squads and 2 minisquads. 

• MA/Eng in IT or Business, or relevant experience in working with Business,
• 5+ years of experience in Agile project management in well-established Agile software development environment, working with virtual/dispersed multicultural teams,
• 4+ years of experience in Scrum Master role in IT projects including experience in working with multiple teams in scaled setup,
• Exhibits Lean-Agile leadership – Exhibits the behaviors of a Lean-Agile Leader with a Lean-Agile Mindset and act as servant leader for the Agile team. Helps the team embrace SAFe Core Values, adopt and apply SAFe Principles, and implement SAFe practices.
• Supports the team rules – The rules of an Agile Team are lightweight, but they are rules nonetheless, and the Scrum Master is responsible for reinforcing them. These may include the rules of Scrum, Built-In Quality practices from Extreme Programming (XP), Work in Process (WIP) limits from Kanban, and any other process rules the team has agreed.
• Holder of at least PSM II (ideally PSM III), CSP-SM, or relevant certificate and certified in at least one of the scaled frameworks (SAFe 5, Nexus, LeSS Practitioner, Scrum@Scale),
• Supports the Product Owners
• Eliminates impediments – Many blocking issues will be beyond the team’s authority or may require support from other teams. The Scrum Master actively addresses these issues so that the team can remain focused on achieving the objectives of the Iteration.
• Promotes SAFe quality practices – SAFe provides guidance to assist the teams in constantly improving the quality of their deliverables and meeting the Definition of Done (DoD). The Scrum Master helps foster the culture of technical discipline and craftsmanship that is the hallmark of effective Agile teams
• Protects and communicates – Communicates with management and outside stakeholders; helps protect the team from uncontrolled expansion of work
• The Scrum Master helps coordinate inter-team cooperation and helps the team operate well on the train
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle and software engineering practices, ability to understand tools/technologies applied in that process and facilitate resolution of technical needs as they arise
• Knowledge of various well-documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach (example: numerous Burndown technologies, various Retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc.)
• Facilitates preparation and readiness for ART events – Assists the team in preparation for ART activities, including PI Planning, System Demos, and the Inspect and Adapt.
• Supports estimating
• Motivated by challenges, and don’t get easily overwhelmed when there are lots of things to do
• Smart and fast-learner
• Understanding of agile product management underlying principles (as opposed to project mindset)
• Very good written and verbal communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills, focus on end-user value delivery
• Very good knowledge of Jira
• Fluent English (C1/C2 level)
• Experience in driving multiple squads at the same time
• Knowledge and experience in scaled scrum frameworks
