Required:
- You have hands-on experience managing and further developing distributed systems and clusters for both batch as well as streaming data (S3/Spark and/or Kafka/Flink),
- You have great programming skills in Scala,
- You have hands-on experience data manipulation and transformation,
- You have hands-on experience building complex data pipelines,
- You have experience with using deployment and provisioning automation tools e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, Openshift, CI/CD,
- You have exceptional problem-solving capabilities.
Nice to have:
- You have great skills in Python,
- You have good knowledge of security, authentication and authorisation (LDAP / Kerberos / PAM),
- You have affinity with Advanced Analytics, Data Science,
- You are familiar with Bash scripting and Linux systems administration,
- You have experience in setting up both SQL as well as noSQL databases,
- You have hands-on experience with Apache Airflow,
- You have hands-on experience with Elasticsearch.
As a Data Engineer, you will be joining ING’s Advanced Analytics global organization and will partner with Data Architects, Business Analysts and Data Engineers to design and implement leading-edge data liberation. You will join Data Delivery Office squad that has a mission to ensure data availability on global scale for analytics purposes to increase the business value within ING. The Data Delivery Office is the Single Point of Contact for data for analytical purposes and facilitates the E2E process for data availability.
This is done by enabling the consumers to perform analytics by
(1) facilitating and providing guidance in the data governance process,
(2) data availability and
(3) defining best data solution from a data architecture perspective.
ING Analytics is an organisation responsible for realizing this vision for ING, differentiating ING as a leader in data-driven organizations within the banking sector and beyond. The organisation consists of a several Global Analytics Centres of Excellence around the bank’s key capabilities (such as Pricing, Risk Management, Financial Crime & RegTech, Customer Intelligence, etc.) as well as strong coordination areas around people capabilities, technology, data, tooling, and external partnerships.
The Data, Tools & Technology team is one of the five core teams within ING Analytics Unit. It is responsible for driving overall strategy and roadmap for analytics platforms, technology and tooling, productionization of analytics models and data roadmap for all the workstreams, change management activities and their interdependencies.
